Hello strangers! It's been a few weeks. Here's an update on what's been going on in my life and why I've been a little MIA. Jeff and I decided to move in to together, which is really exciting. Since he owns a company near his apartment and takes our dog with him to work, it makes the most logistical sense to live in his neighborhood and find a new place there. So, I decided to sell my apartment.
Jeff and I had hoped that we could move directly into a new place, but we 100% underestimated how competitive the New York rental market is. We have been looking for a while now and still aren't having any luck. Neither one of us has rented a new apartment in close to a decade and are now realizing that the competition is fierce!
To bridge the gap while we look for a new place, I moved pretty much all of my stuff into storage and am living in Jeff's apartment. We had hoped that I would only need to keep my things in storage for a few days/weeks, but given the market it looks like our temporary living situation could last a little longer.
I had a big dresser in my closet at #BKaptstory, but it is now buried in the depths of my storage unit and it is not practical or cost effective for me to play tetris, pull it out, and move it to Jeff's. It's also way to big for the space we're in right now.
So, I am on the hunt for an inexpensive dresser that can help me get organized while we apartment hunt. I'm trying to find something that is good quality, real wood, and under $500. I definitely need more storage and have been pleasantly surprised by the number of attractive and affordable dressers I've seen in my search.
Here are my dresser picks for under $500. If you were in my shoes...which one would you choose? Let me know in the comments!
