It’s time for a living room check in! This room has checked a fair amount recently and here is a little summary of what I’ve been up to. You can check out some photos of what it looked like right before we made changes below.Read More
I am thrilled to finally share our patio makeover with you. Our coffee table is unfortunately delayed, but everything else is done! Be sure to check out Part One and Part Two of the patio makeover series to see my entire process over the past few months. As renters, we couldn’t make any permanent changes to the space, but I still wanted to do a complete transformation. How did I do it? By adding a renter-friendly green wall, easily movable furniture, and lots of greenery the space looks completely different and feels more inviting. Project urban oasis is complete!Read More
Now for the fun part - design! I am the first to admit that design is not always an easy process for me. I love doing product research and putting together mood boards/collages, but it takes time and there are moments when I have mental blocks. The patio project design process took about two months, since I could only do it in my very limited spare time. The silver lining here is that because the design evolved over several months it wasn’t rushed and ultimately this means it will be a more personal design that I love. I tossed around the idea of doing my patio makeover for the One Room Challenge, but quickly realized that I didn’t want to hurry this project and I would not be ready to execute in April. The execution of the patio design really only started in May after a few months of planning.Read More
Outdoor space was a big selling point when I first saw our apartment listing. We had been looking for months with no luck and then, out of no where, I stumbled on our rental apartment. Seeing the patio sealed the deal for me and I couldn’t wait to start on the design process. We moved into our new apartment in October, so I knew that I would need to wait until Spring to really start work on the patio.Read More
Last weekend I staged, styled, and shot the home of some dear friends of mine in Darien, Connecticut, so they can list their home for rent. You can see the listing here!
Work is bringing my friends and their family back to the city, but their house is such a gem that they are going to rent it out. This place was truly a joy to photograph because of the beautiful design and great light. It is under a five minute walk to the Metro North, close to shops, and family friendly. Whoever snaps this place up will be very lucky!Read More
