SAUCE PACKS: After a busy few weeks, Jeff and I decided to book a last minute cabin getaway in our favorite area of upstate New York, the Catskills. Over the past few years Jeff and I have stayed all over the Catskills. You can see some of our other Airbnb stays here, and here. I also did a guide last year when we visited Olivebridge with Ivy in June. Getting to know this area of upstate New York has been so much fun for us.
The cabin where we stayed this time is in a little town called Mount Tremper, which is near Phoenicia. Below are lots of pictures from around the cabin. We had a wonderful stay and I highly recommend this cabin if you’re ever in the area.
This porch gave me lots of ideas for our deck!
The swing was a nice touch
The living room was beautifully designed and I loved all of the animal art/sculptures. The whole house was curated with amazing thrift finds.
The two bedrooms of the home were calm and I love that the owner chose to paint the floors black.
The cabin also had a dreamy screened in porch! We both got a lot of use out of the hammock.
The tile backsplash and hardware were my favorite parts of the cozy kitchen.
In my opinion, what really makes a home special are the details. The owner clearly put a lot of thought into every decor decision and I loved them all!
One of my favorite spots in this area is Phoenicia Diner. We went here on our last trip as well and the food was just as good this time! I’ve heard that it gets busy on the weekends, but we never had a problem with crowds and didn’t have to wait for a table.
Foxfire Mountain House
One of the highlights of this trip was getting to visit Foxfire Mountain House and have dinner there. I have followed this property for some time and it was amazing to see it in person. The food was INCREDIBLE and the renovation is to die for. In the summer they will be booked up for weddings most of the time, but if you can ever get there for dinner when they are serving - it is so worth it. The cabin where we stayed was actually right down the street, so that was convenient.
