If there is one thing that I've learned since starting Room Sauce, it's that people love to talk about their plants! I am so glad to have found a community of people that enjoy greenery and plant care as much as I do. While I have already done two posts rounding up my favorite planter picks (see part 1 here and part 2 here), I also get lots of questions about hanging planters specifically.
As far as I am concerned, there are no rules when it comes to hanging planters. As you can see above, if you simply wrap bottles in macrame and hang them over a beam - boom! you have an amazing DIY hanging planter.
When it comes to hanging planters, there are no rules. Buy one or try a DIY to bring greenery to your walls.
Hanging planters are a great solution if you have tall ceilings and want to add color, texture, and/or interest high up on a wall without necessarily adding more art.
As you can see above and to the left, I incorporate hanging planters frequently in my decor to bring greenery to the walls. I don't think that it will cover my walls, but in the right doses, macrame and jute add a natural detail that compliments greenery so well.
My other favorite materials for hanging planters include ceramics and copper.
As always, I scour the internet so that you don't have to. Below I've rounded up my top picks for hanging planters available now. This round-up includes many of my favorite sources for planters like CB2 and Etsy, but also a surprise pick from Williams Sonoma Home!
